Jan Perry’s production of OTHELLO is through to the semi-finals of the RSC’s Open Stages Competition. Jan’s adaptation, described on the night by Festival Adjudicator Andrew Rawlinson as ‘imaginative and creative’, casts Othello as a woman. Ilkley actor Jan Thomas plays Othello and won Best Performer on the night. WT Undergraduate Camillia Harding plays Desdemona. The semi-finals are at Bishop Monkton on Saturday 26th May.
