Workshop Theatre at the Fringe

Once again, there’s a strong Workshop Theatre contingent at the Edinburgh Fringe this year. As ever, I’ll attempt to keep tabs on all that’s happening and pass along the glowing reviews as they pour in (and shamelessly edit the bad ones, obviously).

First up, there’s Sedition. The company have been rehearsing here at the WT for a few weeks now and set off this morning for The Zoo, Edinburgh. The cast features WT students Jess Kearney and Lizzie Morgan.

Also at The Zoo will be Alex Webb who graduated from the WT this year. Alex is already up in Edinburgh with a children’s show called The Snow Queen.

Jess Hilton and Rose Collard are both in a play called The Sun Is Not for Us. It’s on at thespaces on North Bride and, after the Fringe, the show will be touring to China!

Letter to the Man (from the Boy) is a show by Henry Raby (originally performed here at the Workshop Theatre back in February). You’ve got another chance to see it this August at the Underbelly.

And, of course, if you’re going to the Underbelly anyway (and you are), you’ll have to go see The Dog-Eared Collective.  It’s the law, seriously… you can be sent to jail if you don’t.

I’ll let you know more about each of these productions over the next couple of days. If you are up in Edinburgh this month and I’ve not already mentioned you here, please get in touch… we’d love to hear from you.
